Bishop Lawi Imathiu Secondary School (BLISS) is a public day school that serves families in the community offering a cost effective alternative to the predominant boarding school system in Kenya.
Current enrollment exceeds 700 and is considered a high performing school
based on student performance on their National Exams.
Second Block of Classrooms mirrors the original.

2018-2021 BLISS HALL - MULTI-PURPOSE BUILDING
Construction of BLISS Hall, started in 2018, provides space for 1,000 persons to gather.This space provides for activities integral to the school’s operation and community gatherings. Activities include: student dining, school assemblies, special events such as graduation, parent-teacher meetings, music rehearsal & performance, inter-school events, and national exam taking in addition to community gatherings. No longer do students stand outside in inclement weather for morning assembly and eating lunch.

UPDATE
BLISS WATER TANK
The BLISS water tank was severely damaged during a storm last fall.
It was repaired/ replaced through a grant from KUEF
This is a vital source of water not only for BLISS but additional area schools.

2018 - 2020 BLISS Public Health Initiative
Constructed modern toilet facilities for 700 BLISS students, replacing pit latrines, thereby
improving sanitation and public health at the school.
PHASE I COMPLETED in 2018 -construction of girl's toilet and wash facility to promote good hygiene and safety with
septic systems and BIO-incinerator for sanitary pad disposal.
