Past Year Reflection

As we approach the end of the year, the KUEF Board is honored to reflect on the depth of the relationship built through the years with our partners in Kenya and the impact sustained by your support. 

This year, two trips to Kenya continued to strengthen our local bonds and commitments to eliminating poverty through education. The first, to honor and celebrate the retirement of Moses Marete, the one and only principal of Bishop Lawi Imathiu Secondary School (BLISS) over the past twenty years. The second, a service trip out of Park City Community Church, a longstanding supporter of KUEF. The service team was able to witness the transition to the new principal at BLISS, Geoffrey Mwenda Igweta, as well as visit the other primary schools we support in the area, including the Kithoka Amani Children’s Home (KACH).

Some of our recent visitors to Kenya were there for the first time and were deeply moved. It is a truly meaningful experience to see how the deep trust and thoughtful partnership of KUEF and Aaka Kenya CBO (our community partners in Kenya) has led to life-changing impact for our Kenyan partners. 

It is because of the support of our community that KUEF has been so effective, and the results are exceptional. We are so proud of the work that continues to be done and thankful for the generosity that enables it. Generosity from people like you - thank you! With your help we continue to nourish children with a way out of poverty through education. We are delighted to share this video that helps to convey the story, impact and future of KUEF.

With another year on the horizon, the Board is balancing the on-going needs of the community with the financial resources we receive from donors. Your donation today will help us solidify our commitments for the year ahead and continue the legacy of relationship with the community.
